The Eventuri carbon fibre intake system (EVE-A35-CF-INT) was developed to provide the turbocharger on Mercedes 2.0 Turbo (M260) engines with significantly less restrictive airflow, while keeping intake air temperatures (IAT) as low as possible.
On compact Mercedes AMG and 250 models, the factory intake system is located extremely close to the exhaust manifold, a configuration that causes heat to build up rapidly in the engine bay (heat soak). Hotter, less dense air compromises turbocharger efficiency and reduces engine performance. To isolate the airflow from radiant heat, Eventuri developed a fully sealed carbon fibre airbox, redesigning its internal volume by relocating the ECU and incorporating an additional opening on the cold side, away from the hot exhaust area.
The carbon fibre intake duct has an enlarged cross-section with an inlet diameter of 111 mm (4.4"), smoothly tapering towards the turbo inlet to eliminate turbulence. The kit uses a high-flow dry filter manufactured to Eventuri specifications and tested to ISO standards, ensuring excellent filtration efficiency and a considerably larger intake surface than the OEM element.
