Powerflex – Rear Engine Mount Insert – Mercedes A-Class (W176)

The Powerflex rear engine mount insert (PFF40-121) is designed to fit inside the original OEM engine mount, limiting powertrain movement and pitching while providing greater stability and more immediate response during acceleration and gear changes. As a performance upgrade intended for spirited driving and track use, it significantly reduces load transfer and engine movement under load.

Manufactured from Powerflex high-performance polyurethane, the insert fills the voids in the factory rubber mount to help prevent deterioration over time and reduce unwanted flex. In exchange for a small, expected increase in noise and vibration inside the cabin, it delivers a noticeably more precise, direct and responsive driving experience.

Installation Instructions

Note: It should not be necessary to remove the engine mount from the vehicle.

1. Remove any internal rubber flash and clean all residue or corrosion from the original mount.
2. Apply the grease supplied in the kit evenly to the surfaces of the polyurethane insert.
3. Fit the Powerflex insert into the engine mount until it is seated fully against the bracket.
4. Tighten all bolts and components to the manufacturer's specified torque settings.
