Powerflex – Upper Engine Mount Insert – Mercedes A-Class (W176)

The Powerflex upper engine mount insert (PFF40-120) is designed to fit directly inside the original OEM engine mount, limiting powertrain movement and providing greater stability and responsiveness during hard acceleration and gear changes. Developed as a performance upgrade for spirited road and track use, it reduces engine movement during load transfer and improves driving precision.

Manufactured from Powerflex's renowned high-performance polyurethane, the insert fills the voids in the factory rubber mount, helping prevent collapse and excessive powertrain movement. In exchange for a slight and normal increase in vibration and noise at idle or under high loads, it provides a noticeably firmer, more direct feel. The kit replaces and integrates with original component OEM A 246 240 08 09.

Installation Instructions

Note: It should not be necessary to remove the complete engine mount from the vehicle.

1. Remove any internal rubber burrs and thoroughly clean dirt or corrosion from the original mount.
2. Apply the dedicated grease supplied with the kit to the surfaces of the polyurethane insert.
3. Fit the Powerflex insert into the engine mount from above until it is seated fully against the bracket.
4. Tighten all fasteners to the torque specifications recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.
